  • Pneumatic Shockwave Therapy

Pneumatic Shockwave Therapy is a non-invasive treatment that delivers high-energy acoustic pressure waves into injured or painful tissues. These acoustic waves stimulate the body’s natural healing response by improving blood flow, encouraging new tissue formation, reducing pain sensitivity, and breaking down damaged or chronically irritated tissue.

Unlike surgery or injections, shockwave therapy works by encouraging your body to repair itself.

The T800 Pneumatic Shockwave System allows us to safely deliver targeted treatments to muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia, and connective tissues with minimal discomfort and virtually no downtime.

How Does Shockwave Therapy Work?

The acoustic pressure waves create controlled mechanical stimulation within injured tissue. This process helps stimulate several important healing mechanisms, including:

  • Increased blood circulation
  • Improved cellular metabolism
  • Stimulation of collagen production
  • Breakdown of chronic scar tissue and calcifications
  • Activation of the body’s natural tissue repair process
  • Reduction of chronic inflammation
  • Decreased pain through neuromodulation

Many chronic tendon injuries have poor blood supply, making them slow to heal. Shockwave therapy helps “restart” the healing process in tissues that have stalled.

What Does Shockwave Therapy Feel Like?

Most patients describe shockwave therapy as a series of rapid tapping sensations. The intensity is adjusted based on your comfort level and treatment goals.

A typical treatment lasts approximately 10–15 minutes, and most patients resume normal daily activities immediately afterward.

Depending on the condition, many patients benefit from a series of treatments combined with progressive rehabilitation exercises.
