Therapeutic Cupping is an ancient alternative medicine used in Western Medicine today, to reduce pain and tension in the muscles and fascia at various points of the body. At Wall 2 Wall Sports and Rehab we use a dry therapeutic cupping method. We use the cups in a static or dynamic fashion as well as a combination of static/dynamic. The suction provided by the cups decompresses our body’s dermis, muscle, and adipose layers. The cup is normally left in place for about three minutes. The air inside the cup cools and creates a vacuum. As your blood vessels expand, the skin will turn red and rise. After the procedure, you may get a bruise on your skin for a number of days. After your cupping session, your skin should look normal again within 10 days. You will feel an immediate reduction in tension and pain in your muscular system after our therapeutic cupping techniques.
